The 2021 report presents Norm OJSC's activities in the various areas of sustainability as an integral part of the company's business strategy. The Report reflects a business relationship based on mutual trust with employees, customers, government, and other stakeholders as well as indicates our commitment to environmental sustainability. Furthermore, in 2021 we obtained external assurance of our sustainability performance to ensure that our reporting is accurate and reliable. Deloitte & Touché LLAC has provided limited assurance on our selected key performance indicators. Norm OJSC has published its third Sustainability Report according to the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards / Core Option, as well as the Guidelines of Global Cement and Concrete Association (GCCA). The report highlights the progress and operations in various sustainability fields such as economic, environmental and social during 2020. We obtained external assurance of our sustainability performance to ensure that our reporting is accurate and reliable. Deloitte & Touché LLAC has provided limited assurance report on our selected key performance indicators. It allows us to track the trends of ongoing initiatives and programs, and monitor our sustainability targets and the progress we have made over the past year.
This is Norm’s second Sustainability Report, which deals with the 2019 financial year and runs from 1 January to 31 December. This year, Deloitte & Touché LLAC was engaged to perform an independent limited assurance engagement on selected disclosures covered in the Sustainability Report in line with the International Standard on Assurance Engagements (ISAE) 3000 (Revised). Such independent verification provides additional assurance to our stakeholders on the accuracy and completeness of our disclosures regarding sustainability activities and initiatives, along with our progress towards the company’s sustainability goals.
We are pleased to present our first Sustainability Report which covers the period from 1 January 2016 to 31 December 2018. The key objective of producing this Report is to ensure accountability and transparency to our stakeholders when communicating economic, social and environmental impacts caused by our activities and operations. Our Report was prepared by referring to the “Core” option of Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards, as well as the Guidelines of Global Cement and Concrete Association (GCCA). It features information about our Company, the scope of our operations, the achievements and challenges, as well as the sustainability impacts and risks associated with our performance.
